Access to the respondent database

Administrators may define categories of users who may have or who should not have access to specific protected data in the respondents database.

In the 'Administration -> Access to modules' menu it is now possible to specify categories of users who can see hidden data by checking the 'Access to personal data (fields in the respondents database)’ option.

Try to restrict the number of people with access to protected data to absolute minimum.

Only persons authorized by the administrator (PDAs) may access the personal data.

When importing a respondent database, user can specify columns of the database store the protected data. This can be set later by choosing 'Base -> Database field definition'.

Access to the respondent's data should be granted to employees who maintain/operate the database. During the results analysis, interview validation and results encoding phase, access to the data shall be limited.
