System CADAS (Computer Assisted Data Acquisition System)

The CADAS system is an integrated CAPI, CATI, CASI, CAWI market and opinion surveying environment.

The CADAS system includes many solutions, which improve work efficiency, results reliability and control over the survey during each stage of its execution.

Basic features:

  • Remote work
The Intranet/Internet platform brings many advantages. All functions of the CADAS system are available through a web browser, requiring as such no installation of any additional components, except for the server. The system also ensures full security for the stored data by means of encrypted access to the application over the Internet and by applying double encryption for all data stored on the server.

  • Questionnaire design graphical user interface
Questionnaires in this system are designed using graphical user interface. This solution relieves the survey author from having to deal with many technical issues, which are irrelevant to the interview process.

  • Control
Utilization of the built-in control module ensures instant and continuous validation of the surveying process and of the interviewers' work (preview and playback of CAPI/CATI interviewers during the survey, preview of results, identification of suspicious interviews and many others).

  • Access to partial results
Right after the first question (CATI) is asked and after the first day of a CAPI survey, the system provides access to partial results so they can be analysed, further processed or used for survey validation or modified, if needed. The customer is granted access to results via the Internet, having previously being sent a key and having logged into the system. Results are shown in a results browser supporting comprehensive analysis, recalculation and generation of various breakdowns and charts.

  • Security
Connections with the platform are encrypted using 1024-bit key and each successful or unsuccessful platform access attempt is logged in the database. Even authorized contact database export/update requests or result export requests are logged. In order to prevent access of unauthorized persons to the data stored in the system, each CADAS system user is granted access rights to specific platform modules only. In this way CADAS protects results and contact databases against unauthorized access.

  • Virtual interviewer
The Virtual Interviewer module allows routing and validation of results sets

  • Multiple data collection options
The system supports many data collection methods: CATI, CAPI, CAWI, CASI, surveys can be conducted on multiple servers (in different branches) and results can be synchronized onto a single server, MINI CATI.

  • Client module
The system provides access to surveys or to their parts, which have been made available to the Customer for purposes of the questionnaire approval, questions editing, comments adding, etc. It is possible to access partial results during the course of the survey - using the on-line results presentation module - as well as to communicate with the researcher while the project is being worked on in the group mode.

  • Open and semi-open questions encoding module
The platform supports results processing throught the encoding module. This module contains such elements as: encoding text entries for open and semi-open questions, multiple encoding support, multi-level classification encoding support, easy inclusion of encoded data in the results database, remote encoding by a researcher or by any other user, coding of audio recordings of responses to open questions.

  • Results export
Result data export in Quantum, SPSS, Excel format and in text format. In case of wave surveys, the system automatically adapts the export structure to the previous wave and highlights differences.

  • Integrated sample management
A built-in application allowing stratification to be created on the questionnaire design level and survey launching. Mapping of the stratification onto assignments of specific cells or their parts to specific interviewers or teams. Before a sample record is sent to the interviewer, the system checks compatibility of the created algorithm with the intended criteria. Modification of the stratification during the survey and easy provisioning of the information about remaining free stratification cells to interviewers.

  • Powerful reporting module
Survey progress recording, work progress logging, survey process reporting, quota/stratification accomplishment reports, results reports, CAPI/mini CATI synchronization reports.

  • Multimedia support monitored by the interviewing application
Digital audio recording of the open questions and answers, digital music or sound playback, film clip playback for the respondent, photo slide show with definable slide duration time, an option to playback open audio responses after the interview ends, to facilitate entry of the exact text of the response to the results database in the text format.
